Grammar 101 – A ‘Back to Basics’ Course for Secondary Students

This course is designed to take you back to basics and to help you to gain a greater understanding of essential grammar.

What is a sentence? When should I use a comma? How do I punctuate direct speech? What are conjunctions and how do I use them? When should I start a new paragraph? How are apostrophes used in contractions and to show possession?

We will cover all of these aspects of basic but essential grammar – and more. The aim of the course is to give you sound, practical knowledge that will help you to write more clearly, more precisely and with greater confidence.

The six-hour course is spread over three days and is suitable for students in years 8, 9 and 10.
